Discussion Why Ms Dhoni Was Man Of The Match ?

Okay, no question that he batted really good. But it was not a match winning inning. His performance did not bring in the victory. Yeh tab theek hota jab Pakistan ki taraf say kissi ki extra ordinary performance nahi hoti. But Nasir Jamsheed and Younus Khan survived all the swinging balls and do not forget Nasir Jamshed made 101 not out. Junaid Khan took 4 wickets, he is the one who put down all the crucial Indian batsmen.

I was so unhappy with this decision. What do you guys say ?

i think Junaid Khan was more deserving then any one. as well as nasir jhamshed.

man of the match is buniyad par mila hai kyonke 1st innings mei ball bohot ziada swing ho rahi thi..and still dhoni survived..
2nd innings mei itni swing nahi thi...kumar got lucky on his first ball...azher ali apne stupid mistake se out howa..thats all..
yes junaid khan should have been man of the match...but dhoni played him well later..and i think..dhoni ne sab ko ziada impress kiya hai...his patience...his strike at the end..his fitness level...even though he got SO TIRED..but still he was hitting and was hitting PROPERLY.....plus keeping karna 2nd innings mei ......it was a true sportmanship....
so dhoni deserves this....

I agree with Prince farry that dhoni played superbly well!
Jamshed was not under that tremondous pressure that dhoni not only coped with but also managed to support the indian team.
Pure classy innings No doubt jamshed will reach the heights but its too soon to compare him with the mental level of dhoni.
They are classess apart dhoni super cool minded very well mentally strong! and he always manages to play in pressure and place
india in a good position

Dhoni played better than Jamshed, no doubt. Laykin he still does not deserve man of the game award. His performance did not bring in the victory. I know one man cannot win the entire game, but Jamshed and Junaid had the advantage of bringing in the victory and they deserved it. Jamshed played smart innings, he had to slow down to stay in the wicket but that was important.

I still think Jamshed deserved that award, more than Dhoni.
