Lesson 17: Lasso Tool
[/SHADOW]

Asalam-o-alaikum Wrwb!
aaj tuk ka humne tool box mei jitne bhi study kiye, voh sab related to selection the and same ajka lesson bhi selection tool se related hain but en sub selection tools ka khud he mei ek ahem kaam hota hain so aaj hum Lasso tool study kerne ja rahe hain and below tutorial se aapko maloom parega k yeh tool ka kia khass kaam hain.

1: Lasso Tool:
1.png
yeh ek freehand selection tool hain es pe work kerne k lie simply aap tool Box mei se, es pe click kare and then image mei aap left mouse button ko hold ker k aapni selection draw kersakte hain jaise bhi and jitna bhi aap chahe.

Example: like abhi humare paas ek pic hain and hum esay koi different shape se selection kerna chahte hain apnay passand k mutabek, so lasso tool pe click kare and (Feather mei selection k wakt 1px or 2px amount zaroor hune chahye es se hoga yeh k aapke image mei item k edge soften paste hugi) then free selection kare mouse k left button ko hold on ker k and jaha pe aap selection khatam kerna chahte hain so waha pe aap mouse button ko release kare means stop kare.
2.jpg
mai ne ek flower type ki selection ki so kuch aisa selection hue, and then es selection ko copy+Paste kare ek dusre image mei and see how does it look!

3.jpg
esay terha 2 aur images pe bhi mai ne selection ki and sabko ek image mei paste kiye jho k kuch aisa collection bana..

4.jpg

5.jpg

6.jpg

[SHADOW=1]7.jpg[/SHADOW]

so it was a simple tool.. :)

2: Polygonal Lasso Tool:
1.png
yeh similar to lasso tool hain buss fark yeh hain k lasso tool mei aap mouse ko hold ker k selection kerte hai jub tuk k selection complete ho, per es tool mei aapko each points ko click click ker k selection kerne hain means k yeh freehand ya soft selection nahin jaise k lasso tool tha balke clicks selection hain jho
edges pe straight selection kerti hain.

Example:
method number 1:
angle between vectors in 2 dimentions.

2.png

3.png

method number 2:

es tool k zerye aap image mei ek item k edges ko simple select kersakte uske her points and are pe click ker k jaisa k mai ne already bataya tha k es tool mei khud click ker k selection kerni huti hain so same process mei aap ne pura image item ko click ker k select kerni hain.
so click kerne se pahlay option bar mei feather mei aapko 1px likhna hain aur yaha pe feather edges ko soften selection kerne k lie use kiya jata hain tu eslie zyada feather use kerne ki need nahin.

4.png

Ab selection kare!
5.png

after completeing your selection simply copy and paste it in other images the same like its showing below...

7.png

6.png

3:Magnetic Lasso Tool:
1.png
Jaise k es k naam se andaza hota hain magnetic so the same eska work bhi hain, jub aap es tool ko click ker k image k kessi item pe selection karenge then image k edges pe aapko click kerne ki need nahin yeh khud automatically image mei selection kerni lagti hain aur koi bhi edge borders ek color mei lightly bani ho then yeh "Fastening points"
Untitled-3.png
k zerye auto select kerta hain jes se edges select huti hain and koi area pe ager aap khud fastening points kerna chahte hain then waha pe aap left mouse button ki click kerne se yeh points bana sakte hain and fastening points es magnetic lasso tool ka sign hain jho selection mei small points aapko dekhegi.

Example:

Humare paas yeh image and hum esay select ker k dusre image mei paste kerna chahte hain so simply aap magnetic lasso tool pe click kare feather mei soften kerne ki amount likhe wether 1px or 2px as u wish, then image ko zoom in kare (Image zoom in kerne se aap edges mei asani se selection kersakte hai and its an extra tip) Now Magnetic Lasso tool k zerye aap selection kare,
2.png
Selection complete kerne k baad image ko wapas uske exact size mei zoom out kare and see k selection kaise hue hain,
3.png
completely perfect selection hue hai :) Now copy it and paste it to any other image and see how does it look!
4.png

and same es example k terha ek aur image pe bhi try kiya which you can see below!

That Was All about this Tool and now comming to difference betweek Polygonal lasso tool and Magnetic Lasso Tool:

-magnetic lasso tool ba nesbat polygonal professional hain yeh tool khudse edges mei automatically adjust hune lagti hain jub aap mouse cursor ko move kerne lageneg jub k polygonal lasso tool mei aapko cursor khud click ker k image mei move kerna hain.
- 2ndly polygonal easy and fast selection k lie huti hain jub Magnetic lasso tool complicated images and slow motion moveing selection k lie huti hain jho soften edges selection kerti hain ba nesbat polygonal lasso tool k so aap pe depend kerta hain k aap kaunse lasso tool pe asani se work kersakte hain.

SOME USEFUL TIPS ABOUT THIS TOOLS:

1- Hamesha yaad rahe k aap jub en selections pe kaam kerte hain jub tuk k aapka selection khatam na hujae koi aur window open na kare ya koi aur file ko click na kare es se hoga yeh k jitne mahnut se aap koi difficult selection ker rahe honge dehan se then koi aur item pe click kerne se aapka automatically selection hujate voh disorder tareeke se.

2-Feather mei selection k wakt 1px or 2px amount zaroor hune chahye es se hoga yeh k aapke image mei item k edge soften paste hugi.

3- image zoom in ker k selection karenge then aapke item k borders kafi asani se and complete tareeke se select hugi.

5 mins video Tutorials "DO WATCH IT"

es Tool ka Option bar same baki selection tools k jaise hain but pir bhi aapko define kerungi per kal InshAllah :)
and yeh Video tutorial bade mahnut se banaye hain mai ne and kafi koshish k baad 5 mins mei en teeno tools ka method show kiya hain so aap sab zaroor tutorial dekhye because video tutorials mei kuch extra points define kiya jata hain jho screenshots mei nahin hote.

Magnetic Lasso Tool Option bar

Changing The Width Of The Circle
1.gif
Width: This circle is located in option bar, aur yeh us areas k size change kerti hain jeske edges ko aap selection k lie point kerte ho, image mei jho item or object aap select kerte ho ager uske edges well defined (means clear borders jho easily select hosake) ho tu uske lie aap large width setting rakhe jho aapko faster and more freely selection allow kerti hain and jho images jeske edges clear ya well defined na ho uske lie pir aap lower width setting rakhe and move slowly around the object.
The only problem with the Width option in the Options Bar is that you have to set it before you click to begin your selection, and there's no way to change it once you've started dragging around the object.

ek aur convenient width adjusting way hain left and right bracket keys jessay aap selection kerte wakt bhi width k amount clear and not clear edges mei zyada and kum kersakte hain k jub aap object k round mei selection ker rahe ho so usay time aap left bracket key ( [ ) k zerye lower setting kersakte hain and jub kahi clear and well defined object edges ho so right bracket key ( ] ) k zerye larger setting and faster object selection kersakte hain.

2.jpg

Edge Contrast:
1.gif
A second and equally important option when using the Magnetic Lasso Tool is Edge Contrast, jho k determine kerti hain k kitne color and brightness difference, object and image background k beach mei ho.

yeh bhi same width k terha jes area k color and brightness zyada ho jess se edges and background k dermyaan ache distinguish hosakte hain so you can use a higher Edge Contrast value, along with a larger Width value .
aur jho image (low quality) k lower contrast object and background ho uske lie lower Edge Contrast and Width values use kare.
the Edge Contrast option in the Options Bar can only be set before you click to begin your selection, which doesn't make it very useful. per jub aap working mode means while selection, eske edges contrast lower and higher kerna chahte hain so uske lie press the period key ( . ) on your keyboard to increase the contrast value or the comma ( , ) to decrease it.

Frequency:
1.gif
jub aap koi selection banate hai magnetic lasso tool k zerye tu selection mei jho "Fastening points" jessay anchor points bhi kahte hain automatically place hujate hain image object k edges mei so us points k value ko zyada ya kum frequency k zerye kersakte hain jho k frequency mei zyada amount add kerne se anchor points zyada and kum amount add kerne se kum hosakte hain.
but generally, the default value of 57 works well.

Fixing Mistakes
If an anchor point gets added in the wrong spot, either by you or by Photoshop, press the Backspace (Win) / Delete (Mac) key on your keyboard to remove the last anchor point that was added. If you continue pressing Backspace / Delete, you'll remove additional points in the reverse order they were added, which is helpful for times when the selection outline starts acting a little crazy and unpredictable, as it sometimes does.

Closing The Selection
Once you've made your way around the entire object, and jub aapke selection mukamal hue ho then you'll see a small circle appear in the bottom right of the cursor icon, that letting you know, you can now click to close the selection and usay end spot pe double click kerne se selection close hujayegi.
2.jpg

The animated selection outline, or "marching ants", appears as soon as you close the selection.
2.jpg

Subtracting Areas From The Selection:
1.jpg
jub aap kessi object ko image mei selection kerte hain and still uske jho areas jaha pe selection cursor nai jaate and voh selected hue nai hote
tu copy+paste kerne k waqt voh extra area bhi copy hujate hain jes se maloom per jata hain k aap ne image kahe aur se copy kiye and us mei safae nai dekti tu selection close kerne k baad option bar mei
Subtract Selection per click kare and then us area ko selection kare
2.jpg
jess se voh extra portion bhi select hogi.
4.jpg

Removing A Selection
When you're done with your selection outline and no longer need it, you can remove it by going up to the Select menu at the top of the screen and choosing Deselect, or you can press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+D (Win) / Command+D (Mac). Or, for the fastest way to remove a selection, simply click anywhere inside of the document with the Magnetic Lasso Tool or with any of Photoshop's other selection tools.

that was All about Magnetic Lasso Tool........
