BARA: At least 20 militants were killed and 25 hideouts of terrorists and two bomb-making factories were destroyed in Operation Clearance here.
The security forces cleared five areas of Bara subdivision in Khyber Agency. The forces killed 20 militants in the offensive that continued for over two weeks in Bara tehsil. Twenty-five positions of militants situated at various locations in the same area were also destroyed by the security forces in the search and clearance operation against insurgents.
The militants kept abductees here and tortured them. A huge cache of arms and ammunition was also seized during the operation. Over 100 suspected men were still under detention of security forces.
