Introduction: The Type 80-UD tank is Ukrainian variant of Russian T-80U tank with some modifications. T-80UD tank is considered one of the most advanced tanks with ability to operate in all terrains and weather. But this tank is particularly very good in desert warfare. Pakistan bought over 320 of these lethal tanks from Ukraine, as they matched the desert and extreme temperature conditions of Pakistani defence lines in particular with its eastern fronts.Engine: This tank can hold a crew of three. Its powered by an 6TD-2 diesel engine. This engine develops 1200 hp, giving the vehicle an improved power-to-weight ratio of about 27 hp/ton. It has a total combat weight of 46,000kg. In addition to this the gunner has the 1G46 day sight and an infrared night vision sight.Extreme Conditions: The tanks has a range of 550km . Its operating temperatures are -40°C minimum and +55°C maximum.
