If you are a regular user of your PC, its possible that you may have developed a large stock of different software and applications on your existing computer. Many of these software must be shareware programs and others, downloaded or taken from some sources which are not available to you currently. If you want to replace your existing PC with a new one, you may certainly want to have these important software on the new computer, which may concerning you as you want the transfer in a safe and error free manner.

Following are some of the ways for transferring the software from one computer to another on the basis of availability of different type of resources for doing the same.

Using portable storage media: This is the simplest and possibly the most widely used way to transfer software from one computer to another. For this, you require an external storage drive like USB Flash drive, external hard disk, CD/DVD etc. You can plug-in/insert the medium into the source computer and copy-paste the required applications into the medium. Then connect the portable storage device into the new computer and unload all these applications into the same and subsequently install them. But make sure the storage medium used for this purpose has enough capacity as per your requirements and is not corrupt.

Using special applications: In order to meet the requirements of efficient software transfers, there are applications available dedicated for such purposes.
