Japan's oldest Cherry Tress... The tree in full bloom has become a symnol of hope in Japan. The Hirosaki park in Aomori Prefecture in Japan has the oldest Yoshino Cherry Tree which was planted in 1882. The Cherry Blossom Festival "Hirosaki Sakura Matsuri" is held every year from April 23 through May 5 when the cherry flower in Hirosaki are in peak bloom. Ten of thousands of Japanese have made a pilgrimage to more tham 200 years old cherry tree.
