no u dont need to convert to muslim if u want to marry a muslim guy,there will be no issue as long as u respect each others religion
but if u choose for being a muslim that would b a better idea, cuz u guys n your children will not face any prob in future
islamic man can marry,

Hello there lisa and thank you for your question. Firstly Islam does not allow relationships outside of marriage because the only relationship which is permissable in Islam is a relationship in marriage.
We can clearly see in many of our societies the damage relations outside of marriage does on those involved especially where a relationship is used as an excuse for some people to use and abuse a person to fulfill their lustful desires. This causes terrible pain and anguish when relationships do not work out or the partner is found cheating etc.
A relationship is not guarantee for marriage so one must not cause possible pain and scarring to oneself rather one should establish right away whether the person wants to marry or not and if not then one should not remain in any relationship but move on otherwise get terribley hurt.
So any relations outside of marriage are sinful and aborred and you should not stay in a relationship but rather establish immediatley whether it will go onto marriage or not and if it does then do not delay it but if it doesnt then move on and save yourself time and terrible pain and torture.
Secondly a Muslim man can marry a "practising" Christian or Jewish women and not one who is just Jew or Christian by name as most are in the west. A Muslim man cannot marry an Athiest, Agnostic, Hindu, sikh or any other non Muslim apart from a practising Chrisitan or Jewish women.
These type of marriages where a Muslim man marries a non Muslim women are still not encouraged but are allowed as long as the children are bought up as Muslim.
So Lisa you should certainly look up Islam for yourself as this is a means of you gaining salvation and Allah guides whomever he wants and wishes to guide but he does not guide all. Without a doubt you should look into Islam and the Qur'an and see for yourself why more people are converting to islam in Europe and the west than any other faith and religion in the face of this earth and most of these converts are actually women.
