BANNU: Six persons have been killed and dozens others injured in suicide attack on Mandan police station in Bannu.
DPO Bannu told that the injured include 24 policemen and 15 civilians.
The police station was completely shattered, when a suicide bomber rammed the building with an explosive laden vehicle also causing damage to adjacent buildings.
The blast has carved an eight-foot deep and 40-foot wide pit on the attack site.
About 200 FC men were present in the police station at the time of attack.
Two detainees in the building were also killed, the police told.
Injured have been shifted to District Headquarter Hospital where many of them have been reported in critical condition.
Meanwhile immediately after the attack the local people started relief work on their own, whereas search is underway to find more victims trapped in the wreckage.
