The limited infrastructure and physical facilities were destroyed or damaged by the devastating earthquake of October 08, 2005. The university had to start classes in the open air and make shift tents. With the support of higher education commission prefabricated academic blocks (07) and library (01) were constructed under the project. The structures are earthquake resistant, durable and low cost. The project was funded by the higher education commission for Rs.38.004 million. However, the actual cost of the project is Rs.55.000 million. Currently nine (09) departments of the university are housed in the buildings. Each department has facilities of classrooms, labs, offices etc. Now a revised project of Rs.55.765 million has been approved by the HEC and CDWP. The project has already been completed.
