LAHORE: Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) has decided to seek details of the in-camera session of the Judicial Commission held in connection with the appointment of the judges of superior courts, Geo News reported Saturday.
The meeting of the PBC was held here at the Supreme Court’s building with Vice Chairman Latif Afridi in the chair. The meeting was attended by 19 out of 22 members of the PBC.
Later, talking to Geo News Rasheed A Rizvi said that during the meeting council members reviewed the matters relating to Judicial Commission. They were of the view that the in-camera session of the Judicial Commission was not in line with the provision of the 18th amendment of the constitution.
According to him, a member of Judicial Commission said he was under an oath not to leak anything that was discussed during the in-camera session.
