Although GPS is nearly ubiquitous, in those rare instances when you are deep underground or just between satellites, researchers have come up with a technology that can fill in the gap.

The technology used measures speed and distance with portable radar equipment to help keep track of where you are, and lead you back to where you lost the GPS signal.


The unit attaches to your shoe or boot.
