Cricket is the game which is very popular around worldwide. This game should be played within the laws and it also reflects the unity of the team. The players have to maintain the spirit of the game otherwise it causes injury.
International Cricket Council:
All the championships are organized by the sport’s governing body called the International cricket councilwhich is founded in 1909 by the name Imperial cricket conference. In 1965 it is renamed as International Cricket Conference and the current name took place in 1989.
International Cricket Council board has 101 members out of which 10 are full members that can only play test matches, 58 are affiliate members and 33 are associate members. All the umpires and referees for test matches, One day International and Twenty 20 International are appointed by this board. By the help of Anti-corruption and security unit it also takes the action against match fixing.

Emirates Airline is the main sponsor of ICC and this sponsorship includes the umpires and referees ofEmirates Elite Panel of ICC.

The jerseys of the players are made in Reebok International limited company which was originally called mercury sports before 1960.

Players and Officials:
Cricket is played between the two teams. Each team consists of eleven players and one who can play as abatsman and can also do wicket keeping is regarded as all-rounder. Two umpires are allowed to present on the field.
Equipment and pitch specifications:
  • The ball: The weight of the ball is between 5 ounce and 163g and only one ball is used during the play until it is lost.
  • The bat: The length and the breadth of the bat are 38 inches and 4.25inches respectively and it is made up of wood.
  • The pitch: The rectangular area whose length and width is 22 yards and 10 ft is known as the pitch and the lines drawn on this pitch are known as creases.
  • The wicket: The two wooden bails placed on the three wooden stumps are regarded as the wicket and the distance between them are equal.
  • Match structure: It is decided before the match that the match is of how many innings. The captain has the right to declare the end of innings when the ball is dead.
  • Mechanics of dismissal: The umpire has no right to declare the batsman out until his wicket is put down or he is run out.
  • Scoring and winning runs: When the two batsman run towards each other’s pitch then the number of runs which they take are counted as runs scored and if the ball passes the boundary by hitting it then the runs are counted as four and if the ball do not touches the boundary then six runs are considered. One over consists of six bowls and if he both teams make the same runs then the match result is considered as tie.

    • The ball hits the wicket.
    • When the ball hits by the batsman but caught by the player of the opposition team.
