Casio is going to release a new separate-style EXILIM series camera - EX-FR10 - for about 50,000 yen on September 19.
The camera part and the controller/monitor part of EX-FR10 are separable through a one-touch operation. You can use EX-FR10 like a regular digital camera when those parts are combined, or you can remotely operate the camera by using them separately.
In addition, EX-FR10 has waterproof/dustproof performance and shock resistance so that it can be used in the style of an action camera.
Videos and photos taken are saved to the built-in memory or external memory card (microSD/microSDHC/microSDXC). There is also a Wi-Fi function so that it’s easy to share data.
EX-FR10 has an effective 14MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor and a single focus lens that covers a focal distance of 21mm (35mm equivalent). The monitor is a 2.0-inch touch panel LCD.
