DO YOU KNOW ?

ANCIENT EGYPT :

The nation Egypt was created in 3100 BC. It was when two small kingdoms joined together. The king was known as PHARAOH and believed to be a god. Pharaohs ruled Egypt for the next 3000 years. Egypt became rich and strong during their rule.
Egyptians believed that people's spirits could only survive after death if their bodies were preserved. So they made mummies by drying bodies in salt and wrapping them in bandages. Not only people but also dogs and falcons were made into mummies.

SOME PLANET FACTS :
The planet Jupiter is two and a half times larger than all the other planets, satellites, asteroids and cometsof our solar system put together. It is the fifth planet from the Sun. In planet Venus, the Sun rises inthe West and sets in the East, opposite of Earth. Venus is the brightest planetin the sky except for the Sun and the Moon. Planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are many times colder than thecoldest places on earth. Planet Mars is also called the Red Planet. The month of March derives its name from Mars. The Spacecraft Cassini, has explored the Saturn - no longer recognised as a planet, in 2004.

THE MOON :
The moon is our closest neighbor in space. It looks bright because it reflects light from the Sun. From day to day, the moonseems to change shape. This is because as it travels around the Earth, differentparts of the moon are lit up by the Sun's light. Unlike the earth, the Moon hasno air or life, and its surface is covered with craters.
