[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Sir Hugh Dow[/FONT][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] was the second Governor of Sindh. He laid the foundation stone of the Dow Medical College in December 1945.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan took the initiative for the establishment of the Dow University of Health Sciences. He is a Dow Graduate. He was elected as member of the provincial assembly in 1990. And later on became Minister of Housing, Town planning, Environment and Public Health Engineering at a young age, due to his dynamic personality. He was appointed as Governor of Sindh in 2002 and eversince is striving to upgrade the facilities of medical education and health care in Sindh.[/FONT][/FONT]
